1920's Speakeasy Party.

For my 24th birthday this past December, I threw a very small get together for my closest friends.

I had a small photo booth completely with props that I had made by hand. (Mustaches, bow ties, ties, lips etc). I had music playing in the back ground, a vintage happy birthday sign, red velvet cupcakes as well as other various hors d'ouvours. All the lighting was candle lights save for the dimmer switch in my dining room with the food that was turned on low.

It was a small affair but a happy one at that. Everyone came dressed in 1920's styled clothing and it was quite lovely to see everyone dressed up in their 20's best. Throwing a birthday party for a twenty-something that is Roaring 20's themed seemed very appropriate...in the midst of your 20's why not roar like a flapper in the throws of such a lovely and frivolous decade.

Mustache props. Such a fun DIY.

Pearls are a must. A crown. Lacy tights and of course an actual flapper dress!

Your best accessory is always your best friend...and maybe a mustache from time to time.
