Trend: Polka-dot pants!

While shopping with my Mom and Dad on Labor Day Weekend, I came across these purple and cream polka dot denim skinny ankle jeans from American Eagle. The dusty purple color was a unique take on the polka dot trend and it really spoke to me. After trying them on and pairing them with a strapless cream top I wasn't 100 percent sure that the look would work for me but the price tag (marked down to $10!) made me completely willing to try!
Flash forward Saturday, September 8th. I awoke with a desire to create a new and fun outfit for an afternoon of sorting through the Urban Outfitters sale rack and watching my team, the South Carolina Gamecocks, play some football. I paired my new polka dot jeans with:

Top: see through cream lace crop top (Forever 21) *Since the top was see through, I wore a strapless bra with a bandeau on top. The bandeau was cream with a light grey Swiss dot pattern.*
Bottoms: dusty purple polka dot skinny ankle jeans (American Eagle)
Purse: Vintage South Carolina Gamecocks tote bag (courtesy of my beautiful Mother!)
Shoes: T-Strap (I LOVE t-strap, it never goes out of style in my opinion) red sandals with white polka dots. (Forever 21)
Accessories: Red Heart Sunglasses. (channeling Lolita of course) (Amazon.com)
Lip Stick: Ruby Woo by M.A.C. (Quintessential red lip- you can NOT go wrong with Ruby Woo!)

I loved my outfit. It was perfect for shopping and watching football on a rare lazy Saturday. To anyone considering the polka dot trend, if it speaks to you and you're game to try something new, absolutely try it! Life is too short to always wear plain denim! Happy polka-dotting!
